How does the Nexûs model work?
A company may have more work than resource available to undertake work at a specific time. Nexûs will then provide a solution to its client by providing a professional with the level of skill and experience available to complete the work to the highest standard.
What are Nexûs clusters?
Nexûs Professional services encompass three sectors - Accountancy, Tax and Law. Each sector/cluster provides a cluster lead and a network of accredited professionals with experience of working for large professional firms and companies. Each lead offers a wealth of experience to deliver leadership within the business and highly professional and cost effective solutions for our clients. They are 'hands on' and directly involved in professional meetings, the recruitment process and appropriate placement with our clients. They are responsible for managing client relationship as well as scoping and quality assurance of work undertaken.
What type of work could I be offered?
We work with major UK clients comprising FTSE 250 companies, large privately owned companies, banks, investment and private equity houses, professional legal and accountancy firms and public sector including National and Local Government.
We also provide guidance on transferring into new areas of work if that is a direction our professional wishes to consider.
Do you operate nationally or internationally?
Although our offices are presently located in Birmingham and London, our Directors are committed to professionals and client meetings across the UK. They have experience in working internationally themselves and understand the parameters in which professionals may need to operate within a client's business. We are therefore able to resource jobs internationally for both clients and professionals.

As an independent professional, what support will Nexûs offer me?
Nexûs provides guided professional development and mentoring by our Directors, analysis of skills matched to exciting job opportunities with FTSE 250 clients, networking opportunities with potential clients and fellow professionals and structured feedback to enhance your market value.
I am interested in Nexûs but not immediately available. What should I do?
We would welcome an opportunity to meet with you to understand your aspirations and requirement for a potential placement. The meeting will be arranged with our cluster lead and resourcing manager. It is important we understand your availability for a potential placement and that we able to create a positive working relationship.
We do not expect our professionals to enter into a medium or long term commitment. We anticipate a placement lasting the length of a project, but sometimes it may be difficult to identify at the outset. On commencement of the placement, we would agree the minimum period and comitment required by both the client and the professional.
In the first instance however, we would wish you to complete a brief online registration form and upload a CV or resume which provides us with background information ahead of our meeting.
I need external support but I am not sure exactly what?
The directors of nexus have years of experience scoping and delivering professional services projects. As such we are ideally placed to advise on how best your requirements can be met.

How do you quality assure professionals?
A structured and rigorous interview process will be undertaken by our directors who are experienced professionals
All the usual checks will be undertaken by Nexus following positive selection of a prospective professional
We will continue to monitor performance on projects to ensure professionals are delivering to the highest standard
How do you quality assure work delivered by self-employed professionals?
The cluster leader will be available to professionals at key points of the engagement
Cluster leaders are available to the client throughout the duration of the engagement
Cluster leaders will conduct a review with both client and professionals at the end of the engagement.
How is my charge out rate agreed?
We agree a grading structure and charge out rate directly with our professionals. The rate will be dependent on seniority, expertise and the nature of client work required. We will also monitor the rate based on market demand and personal performance. Our professionals will complete a weekly timesheet which must be signed-off by the client.
What qualifications do I need to be considered by Nexûs?
Completion of the registration form and CV will clarify your background and qualifications to undertake a role. It is imperative that we verify an individual's professional qualifications ahead of undertaking a client placement.
We also require our professionals to operate through their own company and invoice Nexûs on a monthly basis.
Will I be required to manage projects/staff in a typical engagement?
This depends upon the nature of the job and whether you have the appropriate skills to deliver all aspects of the job.
I undertake work from other sources, will I be of interest to Nexûs?
At our initial meeting we will discuss your availability to complete work for Nexûs either on a full-time or part-time basis. Commitment to another organisation will not be detrimental in securing work through Nexûs.
Does Nexûs recruit for permanent appointments?
We resource interim, contract and project work.
Does Nexûs provide a headhunting service?
We do not provide a headhunting service. We have a network of professionals placed in interim, contract and project roles.
